Wizards and Wonders

PRESCOTT - We are only three weeks away from the opening of Summer Camp at Chapel Rock, Prescott. What fun I have had in putting the children's morning program together. This program is taken from a curriculum entitled Wizards and Wonders, A Hero's Journey with Harry Potter written by Trudy Ardizzone and published by Leaders Resources, an Episcopal-based publishing company.

In 2003 when I was serving as Director of Christian Education at Christ Church of the Ascension, Paradise Valley, I offered this program. When all was said and done it was one of the most spiritual Vacation Bible School programs I had ever offered. The children loved it. They walked away with a fuller understanding of who they are and whose they are.

To the best of my knowledge, every single church, mission, and preaching station within the Episcopal Diocese of Arizona now has (at least) a very basic website. Please go to www.azdiocese.org/map/list.html and check your church's website and its posted information and let me know of any changes that need to be made.

If you encounter any communication problems, please report it to me at greta@azdiocese.org.
